Dirge For The Slain originated in 2005 by vocalist Eric Giepert and guitarist Josh Martin; both formerly of the bands Foredoomed and Fireproof. Dirge For The Slain underwent numerous lead guitarists before Ben 'Frank' Andersen, previously of Necrotomy VA and Dixie Harlot, joined in the summer of 2008. Drummer John Pendergraft joined the group in 2009 after playing in such bands as Decibal and Dixie Harlot. Erik Jones, former bassist of Dark Evolution and Oblivion, joined up with the band in 2011. Dirge For The Slain has played with bands such as Kataklysm, D.R.I., Psychostick, Mary Magdalan, Lazarus A.D., Rumpelstiltskin Grinder, and many more! Dirge For The Slain is stronger than ever bringing their audience power grooves that will make you wanna punch your momma in the mouth!!!
